Blue Tree offers a yard monitoring solution for live temperature monitoring of all refrigerated vehicles while they remain in the depot. The R:COM Yard Monitor also has the ability to download the temperature data recorded on vehicle datalogger on its return to the yard. On the vehicle the R:COM WLAN module is connected to the datalogger of the Refrigeration Unit and delivers the following functionality;

When the vehicle arrives back to the depot, the R:COM WLAN Temperature Management system automatically downloads all new data recorded in the vehicle mounted temperature datalogger to the office PC network without incurring any communication or labour costs. The downloaded data is reported through the R:COM Temperature Reports software.

The WLAN Temperature Management system fully automates the process of compliance with EC Directive 92-1 governing the transportation of temperature sensitive foodstuffs.

The R:COM system also has the capability of continuously monitoring the refrigeration units for alarm conditions while the unit remains in the depot or can report stored alarms which occurred while the unit was in transit. Alarm occurrences are immediately reported as a flashing icon on screen, an audible signal and an email message or SMS message to the person responsible.

The R:COM system allows each vehicle to be tagged with a description of vehicle type (text and/or icon) and registration number. The user can see on screen what vehicles are currently available in the depot, the types of those vehicles, the type of TK unit mounted on the vehicle and arrival/departure times of all vehicles
