R:COM Messenger provides a fully integrated fleet management and navigation solution. The R:COM Messenger software handles driver communication, job management and dispatch, driver routing and back office visibility of job status. The navigation aspect of the solution comes courtesy of Garmin, for which Blue Tree has been appointed an authorised partner.

Unlike other vendors the Garmin User Interface is designed to be intuitive for ease of use and with minimal input to aid safety and efficiency.

Using R:COM Communicator software you can send single or multiple job instructions to your drivers complete with destination addresses. Each job sent to the driver carries a description and exact location, which is then automatically programmed into the SatNav device. The driver only has to press one button to select his next stop or mark a job as done, making their task easier, more efficient and compliant with the law -legislation on the use of mobile phones also applies to programming a SatNav whilst on the move.

Upon accepting the job, the navigation system provides turn-by-turn audio and visual assistance to navigate your driver to the exact destination, using the best route possible. At any point in the process the office staff can establish the exact status of a job and the estimated time of arrival (ETA).

Updates and changes to the plan can easily be sent from either the office or the driver.

The office can send messages directly to the driver and be notified as soon as soon as the message has been received by the truck and read by the driver.

To make sending messages fast and simple for the driver, the R:COM Messenger allows the customer to store predefined messages that the driver can access via the Garmin Sat/Nav. Notifying the office of delays or completed deliveries can be done with very few key presses to aid safety and maximise efficiency.

Additionally, if a more complex message should be required, the Garmin Sat/Nav supports free form text so that drivers have the ability to create their own messages. For additional safety and to abide by the law, all of the interactive features of the Garmin are locked by default to prevent use whilst the vehicle is moving.
